Monroe County's Local Solid Waste Management Plan - An Update
Monroe County has been working hard to meet and exceed the goals and objectives of their state approved Local Solid Waste Management Plan since it was approved in 2015. Now wrapping up the third year of the plan, staff will share with you the numerous accomplishments and the direction the County is headed as it relates to the 10-year plan. Staff will also share with the group how some of the County's goals have shifted due to China's National Sword, and how the County has been successful at combatting the impacts resulting from this global shift in recycling markets by educating the public to Recycling Right. The presentation will conclude with a quick recycling quiz to make sure YOU are Recycling Right!
