Join the Genesee Finger Lakes Air & Waste Management Association for a relaxed June Tour at the Mount Hope Cemetery, scheduled for Tuesday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. We will enjoy a private guided tour of the Mt. Hope Cemetery grounds led by Mr. Dennis Carr, Vice President of the Friends of Mt. Hope (FOMH) for the past 45 years.
Following the approximately 75-minute tour, the group will gather for lunch at the Distillery across the street.
Please plan to meet at the north entrance of the cemetery, located at 791 Mt. Hope Avenue. The event will take place rain or shine.
With geologic points of interest, a certified wildlife habitat, more than 45 varieties of mushrooms, a Class II arboretum, a vernal pond, and notable burials — including Susan B. Anthony, Frederick Douglass, and Henry Augustus Ward, often described as a modern-day Indiana Jones — there will be plenty to interest AWMA members.
